I announce level 3x on Page 1 or 2.

Neonspyder has no idea, that players aren't no lifers and those events should be during the weekend.

Who can participate?

EU-->During in a week the night drops out.
US East Coast/Central-->Barely any players.
West Coast/NZ/Australia-->Early Morning

No Lifers-->Check

Shouldn't an 8-hour be on a weekend?

Perhaps a vacation day is due ...
BLAMT!
same amount of points in a 8 hour race as a 1/2 hour race surely should be more points up for grabs as investing alot more time :S

worse time ever, but still going to play

dont know if i'm gonna stay up late of get up early to get lvl 22 and #5/class :P
Definitely need more reward points for this much time, I agree. It does seem unbalanced. And yeah, it involves me on the East Coast staying up til 1 a.m., but that's not so horrible.

Also, anyone throwing around the "no-lifer" thing doesn't know everyone's personal circumstances that allow them to be online when they are, and should really zip it on that and be a more respectful to their fellow gamers.

Arms wide open, I stand alone. I'm no hero, and I'm not made of stone.
Right or wrong, I can hardly tell. I'm on the wrong side of heaven, and the righteous side of hell.
I agree with those stating the rewards are low for such a time invested event. For future reference i suggest better rewards it is not inspiring at all to be up playing 8 hrs straight for rewards i can get on an 1hr event doesn't really make any sense >_<
too low rewards
GGG has explained before that the reason the points are no better in longer races is so that people don't feel obligated to participate just to maintain their standing in the season points race.

That way, the "extremely dedicated" racers (i.e. those that actually commit to playing in an 8-hour marathon) get a slight points edge (as they should), and those that don't, don't feel like they are missing out.

Having given this race some thought today, I'm actually excited for it, even though I'll only be able to play for about 7 out of the 8 hours (at best). I've planned out my passives and quest rewards and everything :)
