[Not a Bug] Prismatic Eclipse

This is not a bug. Any time an item with sockets refers to sockets, it is referring only to it's own sockets. Prismatic Eclipse gets bonuses based on how many sockets of each colour it has.
Mark, how the hell can this sword have white sockets?

Because there is either a method to roll white sockets in the game atm or there is one getting added? i doubt they would add it if there wasn't going to be a way

Please have a look at the wording on Pillar of the Caged God. It is exactly the same, yet the pillar certainly does not refer to only the Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence on the item.

If Prismatic Eclipse is not "bugged" then the wording isn't being used consistently from item to item.

That has nothing to do with sockets.

Items have sockets, and their stats that refer to sockets refer to their own, consistently.
Items do not have attributes (str/dex/int), characters do. Items can provide bonuses to your attributes for wearing them, but they don't have them themselves.

This is exactly the same as local mods already work - weapons have damage, so "increased damage" on weapons applies to their base damage, as a local mod. Armour doesn't have damage to increase, so "increased damage" on an armour will apply to your damage.

Item stats that refer to their own sockets have "in this item" tagged on at the end with the exception of Kaom's Heart which just says "Has No Sockets" without the "in this item" at the end. However, the meaning is obvious by the conjugation of the verb "Have". "Has no sockets" cannot be referring to "you" the player, while "Have no sockets" can be referring to "you" the player.

Unless the item stat ends with "in this item" it historically has referred to a global sum, and not to an individual item.

If the item refers to its own sockets by default since players themselves cannot have sockets, then "in this item" is redundant on all the other items.
Yo, Mark.

Which other items are you referring to, specifically? There should not be any using that terminology in this context, and if there are, that's a bug in the stat descriptions.
So, about the white sockets. How does a weapon acquire a white socket? Is this just there to make it seem a liiiil bit cooler?
they added a new vendor recipe, they didn't tell anyone what it does or how to make it there may be more undiscovered ones or ones that have been found and kept private, experiment with the vendor, guess from the weapons flavor txt

Any other item that refers to gems socketed in itself, like Prism Guardian and Alhpa's Howl. We would expect Prismatic Eclipse to also use "in this item" if it were referring to only its own sockets.
