And now this guy has a workshop that is of a size of a small country. Sigh. Go check his instagram to see, I can't take it anymore, too jealous.

Cheers for the heads up.

Looking great. Such a good story, this.

Is a large workshop of your own and your own business making things from it something you'd revel in, JohnGrammaticus?
I wanted to ask how much those skulls cost, but then I saw your prices on Instragram. I expected them to be much more expensive, such fine pieces of craftsmanship and art!

I guess I'm going to buy one. Is there any problem with shipping skulls to Germany?

edit:

Wow, look at this thing!

Yep, my own workshop is a mystic entity that blows up, shrinks, disappears, reappears in a different place and so it goes. The biggest iteration was in my previous apartment, it got so out of control that I've had metal shavings in my bed. The missus could barely tolerate it. Current version is absolutely dysfunctional due to lack of space and time. Business wise I am going back to making money from photography, at least some of it so now I need to expand my editing station into this god forsaken place and the clash is real. I found my oscilloscope a week ago under a pile of blankets, it's insane.

Before he emerges back from bangelian depths - shipping to Germany is not an issue at all. He stains the skulls which is a tad different process than just painting them, it's less of a surface coat and more like pigment seeping into the bone structure. I am almost 100% sure that this is what he's using haha

Contact him via his FB page or instagram, it's the best way. And shipping to US started recently as well if anyone wonders.
Be ready. You're not paranoid, you're PREPARED.

I quit this game every few months and so should you to continue playing it in the future.

Thank you very much :)
i can ship almost worldwide, shipped to Germany a lot of times, all of them arrived fine, even when is sent 3 in the same box, i ship them with UPS, they are very good and serious. If you wish to purchase one just message me on my IG or FB pages here: https://www.instagram.com/victorskullart/
https://www.facebook.com/victorskullart/

That one is carved and then stained with a stain i make myself, the stain goes in the indentations i make when carving then i wipe the upper surface to get the effect you see, painting them does not really work well because you cant really get any depth.

Thanks for the answer!
I will create some Instagram or Facebook account and send you a message.
If you shipped to Australia, Victor, and did a modest sized, and presumably a lot more within my budget tiny bird skull I just might ...

But then you have so much work, it's just an idle fancy more in the way of a compliment than anything else.

It's good to see you value your work well and that people are paying for it.

Oh dear I see. Whimsical as the description is, that's just not good for working in.

The photo you posted in the "You Humans listen to this junk" thread is stunning, so hopefully you'll make enough from that to secure some orderly space in the future.

Australia unfortunately i think has some hazy laws on importing skulls due to the very sensitive environment (from what i know) which must be protected, but its best to check yourself if it is ok to ship domestic animal skulls.
Most birds are a no-go outside of EU by the way, it is because a lot of birds can carry the avian flu, which could destroy a lot of the biosphere, although the way i clean them the flu would not have any possibility of being present, they still enforce this law nonetheless, and i agree with it since one mistake can make a lot of damage.

Thank you very much :)

Yes, the quarantine laws are serious, partly because they can be and partly because we have had so many imported wildlife and plant disasters that still affect the environment, because it's like that of any island - specialised and quite fragile. I'm sure people import skulls though.

Ah, birds - yes. How about a rat?

You could do some birds for photographs. Hey, John G could come over and do a series. Like you're not busy enough.

You're welcome :)

Still waiting on the dog, you know.

That's kind of you Victor. Are they large? I think probably outside my budget if similar to the deer and sheeps. If it's a chihuaha size ... maybe?

I mainly just want to see what they look like when done, hoping they have cool teeth :)
