Yes, don't really notice it, my armor is so low anyways so might aswell have nothing since Arctic Armour negates most of the phys dmg i take.

4L: firetrap, chance to ignite, ele prolif, increased burning dmg
5L: firetrap, chance to ignite, ele prolif, increased burning dmg, conc effect

Pretty much this, tho maybe the other way around if you have all the AoE nodes i would maybe use conc effect over increased burn dmg in a 4link. But you should aim for a 5link searing touch, 6link isn't really needed unless you have a lot of currency to spare and don't need other upgrades.

If you get a 5link searing touch its generally pretty cheap and easy to upgrade to a 6link later tho, i used 5link until the early 90s then bought a 6link for searing for 10ex and sold my 5l for like 5ex.

what about those levels of my gems? I see you leveled all 3 of your cwdt pretty higher then mine should I do the same?

Yea you should level those up a bit more, i have even been considering getting a few more levels on mine, i mostly use it against those "oh shit" moments when you get charged by offscreen rhoas/leapers etc.

Playing standard league but...
I'm using ES instead life+ armour and it's way way more tanky for me.
I don't have ES gloves/boots yet, and get easily ~6k ES with aura.

Here's my dmg atm (still 3 support gems are not lvl 20) and some dmg nodes are missing in skilltree ^^

also why should I level up the gems isn't having cwdt at 1 take a lot less damage then leveling it?

5L searing is must have for me.
fire trap 20/20 (i have lvl21) + MUST HAVE concentrated effect 20/20 (huge dmg boost!) + elementral proliferation 20/20+ increased burning dmg + chance to ignite.
If u get 6L just add empower(+2/3lvl) or just fire penetration.
