" That's not the game turning off your computer. That sounds like a hardware issue. I would absolutely bet on it. The question is what exactly is causing your problem. First, we're going to deal with the most common cause of this problem - a cooling issue. Cooling issues tend to be WAY more obvious when you're gaming because gaming places a lot of stress on the system, which causes the components, especially the CPU and graphics adapter, to run a bit hotter. The first thing I would do is unplug your PC, press the power button to discharge any residual power, then run a can of compressed air (if you don't have one, I suggest you buy one - they're about 4 to 10 bucks, depending on the size of the can) across all cooling fans and across all the components. Basically, if it has a circuit board or a fan blowing on it, clean it with a can of compressed air! Computer parts are magnets for dust and debris. If you were to take the cover off your computer, I bet you you're going to see tons of dust built up on the cooling fans, on the motherboard itself, on your graphics adapter and everything. That's not good - dust will decrease the efficiency of your hardware quicker than anything. Trust me on that one. :) Second, check your CPU temp when playing POE. Most modern motherboards now have a safety feature that's designed to completely cut power to the system when the CPU temp reaches a certain threshold. This feature is so designed in order to prevent damage to your CPU and motherboard from overheating. Barring that, if you're adept at working with computers, I would completely unplug my system from the power outlet, discharge any remaining power by pressing the power button (the capacitors on the motherboard and inside the power supply will continue to store a residual charge, even when the system is disconnected from the wall outlet - that's why I always have people press the power button while the computer is unplugged.) then remove the CPU cooler and check to see if there's enough thermal compound on your CPU and under the heatsink. If it doesn't look like there's enough on there (keep in mind you need only a pea-sized amount), reapply the thermal compound and reattach the CPU cooler. Then plug the computer back into the wall outlet, turn it on and try to play POE again. See if you still get the issue. If the issue persists, let us know. There may be something else at play that's a bit more technical. " Alright, the fact that you have, as you put it, an "old pc" gives me the impression that either you might have a large amount of dust collecting on your cooling fans or your power supply is wearing out. If upgrading your PC isn't an option for you in the long term, refer to the solutions I've suggested to the OP. I also have a few questions for you. Please try to answer them as best you can. 1. Exactly how old is your computer? 2. Have you replaced the power supply at all in the time you've had this computer? 3. What is your CPU temp before and while running POE? You can find out by running a program like CPU-Z (my personal favorite), available at https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html. That will also give you a bit more information that you can give to the tech support guys, should they need it. If you're able or know someone who can do it for you, I would also look into upgrading your hardware and drivers as soon as you can, even if you have to do it one piece at a time. You can also perform a bit of troubleshooting of your own while you're at it, and run POE after replacing each piece. Then you can stop upgrading when the problems go away if you want. Don't ever blame a game for shutting down your PC. You have a issue to sort out that has NOTHING to do with it.
