Fossil craft helmet issue!?

Want to craft enemies have reduced fire resistance. Just spammed 20 scorched fossils on helmet and no joy. Has something recently changed or am I ridiculously unlucky?

I also spent quite a bit of money trying to craft the chaos one until I discovered they are now restricted to influenced items, so you need a warlord influenced item for the reduced fire res, hunter for chaos, etc... :-(

Not only do they have to be influence items they also must be ilevel 85+. Which is quite rare on Xbox right now.
