Should i just try a new build?

I'm running Enki's Arc Witch build and I'm currently on lvl 84 but I cant seem to make any more progress because I keep getting one shotted.

Hrm, Necromancer arc witch, that seems odd to me, but if Enki's guide says so, I trust it, as its a really good guide.

Seems like on the skill tree you have passed up a lot of easy to get to mana nodes like Forethought, but once again, if that's what Enki says then follow it.

You might be better off posting this in Enki's thread, as I have never followed his guide exactly.

If you want to start over, I have a newbie guide for minions that is decently tanky, incredible boss killing, and ok clear.

It is also very very very low cost.

You can kill all endgame bosses with it, except for deep delve.

Minions are not for everybody, but in my opinion, they are the easiest for newbies to get to endgame bosses.

tl;dr You have major issues with your gear, but the build isn't beginner-friendly. Consider Odif's advice and reroll a new character with a better build that's actually catered to beginners.

Long version:

Your maximum life and mana pool is low, and that is because your gear does not have a lot of life and mana.

You are also using Spirit Offering for damage output instead of Bone Offering for survivability as well, so that's a lot of block chance missing from your build.

But more importantly: all that aside, even if you do fix most or all of your gearing problems, you will still hit a wall at the harder(and usually much more profitable) content, because the survivability of this build plateaus hard relative to other builds in general.

A lot of the other experienced arc witch users will vehemently deny this to the bitter end, but there's a reason why almost none of them, if at all, hit lvl 100 during the span of a league. And don't let them fool you with the usual excuses along the lines of "most people can't be bothered to level to 100 anyway" or "I chose not to/I am just too lazy".

Most of them have already cleared enough content in a league to hit lvl 100 multiple times over; they just can't admit they are not lvl 100 simply because they are dying too much for it to matter. For the record, my lvl 95 arc witch had double the deaths of my summoner witch at the point the latter reached 100, so that pretty much tells you how the former performs at the content that matters the most - very badly.

If you are still not convinced, just browse the 10 most recent pages in other witch build threads, their active posters having lvl 100 league characters of the respective build are dime-a-dozen - and that's because you can and will hit lvl 100 naturally if you simply don't die.
