DD Elementalist issues with DPS

Hi Exiles,

I am struggling with my build DD Elementalist.

You can see, that at range around 80 lvl on the PoB there is DPS around 5kk total (or even more), but what I managed to reach is nearly 100k DPS on similar level. I am not sure if my PoB lies to me or there is something really bad going on with my build.

Could someone tell me what I could be doing wrong? I am casual player, its my second league but I have some clue about the game, though it feels terrible at map bosses T3 already, like it's impossible without dying (clear is acceptable though, but far away from perfect). Or maybe my expectations are too high, though I've heard this build should have incredible DPS even without gear, but this is not the case for me...

Not sure about your PoB, but your gear isn't that good. Elemental damage with attacks doesn't work with spells, and spell damage is useless for the build as all the damage comes from ignites and not the spells themselves.

You also need high spell suppression, life, armor and evasion for survivability. The longer you can stay in one spot, the more damage you can do (exponentially). So you want to prioritize those stats on gear before looking for extra damage.

And cast speed, I forgot to mention that. Cast speed is basically the stat that enables this build to work so I would say that it's the most important until you reach a comfortable amount. With higher cast speed, you can get a lot more attacks in before you have to move away. Otherwise you're just constantly running and not doing much damage.
