Can't damage monsters

I have encountered some monsters in mid range maps that I can't do any damage to. Literaly zero. They don't show any resistances. Does that mean that their life recovery is higher than my damage or they are just resistant to Toxic Rain?

Possible. Better make screenshot and post it if you want a proper answer, "some monsters" isnt much of a description.

Only things I can think of would be Expedition ("immune to chaos damage" esp) and some unique map (CI exiles).

If you're juicing maps at all with wisps some monsters will also be significantly heartier. Coupled with the right mod combo (Soul Eater/Life Regen) they can seem un-killable. Ran into this problem myself when early mapping due to not respecting the league mechanic.
