Splitting Steel lag FPS issues

I am using splitting steel and when I enter a map, the game runs at between 160 to 220 fps. Over the time playing the map, FPS are going down to 60 fps or even lower. I saw other people are having the same problems. And since I am suffering from motion sickness, I can't continue to play this build unfortunately.
