Is it only worth corrupt gems through incursion T3 rooms?

Well ill give you my exp with them...

So heres the thing about the T3 room.. IF you get a T3 corrupting room for gems? You are gonna NEED a 20/20 gem. Otherwise your pretty much wasting the room if the gem isnt already 20/20 since it will double corrupt the gem. Yesterday i had this room but i had not sold my 5ex ring yet and i was already running the temple and could not buy a 20/20 gem so i announced it to my guild and got one of my buddies heralds and 21/20 it for him. But this is the only way to get 21/23 or 21/20 vaal gems.

The tier 1 and 2 rooms doesn't have this corruption anyway Tier 1 has like 1-3 vessels with gems with quality and lvl and some vaal.. and tier 2 was just more of these vessels if my memory serves. ive only got one lvl 3 room so far and couple 1 and 2s.

Seems a bit of a waste to corrupt gems in there with useless quality such as auras unless you have nothing else to corrupt.

I have arc 20/20 but if its double corrupt doesnt that mean theres higher chance also for it to be wasted like 19/17 or something? if i can get arc 21/23 i dont think its big deal if i just vaal orb my 20/20 arc and get 21/20? or does the T3 corrupt room have higher chance of getting succesfull?

Not sure if that's accurate. I already looted a level 1/qual 23 gem in the temple. It's not a Vaal skill, but it comes with base 23% qual. You can loot those corruptions in the gem room itself, without corrupting an existing gem.

you're saying it dropped 1/23% as NOT a Corrupted gem? as in you didn't see the "Corrupted" line in the gem description? can you please post that onto the forums?

or if it did --- up until now you could not Corrupt items that are already Corrupted, and i don't believe Incursion has changed this, so no, most likely you cannot get 21/23% without double-corrupt altar
