Blast Rain/Ice shot build help

Hello,my in game name is Cryolit I have been playing Path of Exile for 2 years or so and I am bored of mine meta builds etc.

I knew that I wanted a ranger build that could do all content, soon I stumbled upon a voidfletcherbuild(VoidfletcherGuide:https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2134091/page/28) which used Ice shot for clearing and Tornado Shot for bossing.I didn't like the tornado shot part,thus went ahead trying to find an alternative skill for single target damage and found Blast Rain.My question is can I make blast rain work In that build or nah if yes how?

Edit: After lots of thinking found another guide that seems to be using Clearing Skill + BlastRain(https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1879779/page/1)

Is there a way to combine the 2 builds or somehow make a new Ice Shot + Blast Rain build?
