Stuck in Act 6 // Large Soul Core not dropping

Hey,

I'm currently stuck in Act 6 while trying to complete the Quest "Legacy of the Vaal"

It tells me to return to the Infested Barrens and to activate the Stone Altar.
When I click the Stone Altar, an animation occurs: Me placing the Large Soul Core into the Altar.

Problem: I don't have the large soul core in my inventory which causes the animation to cancel.

I tried redoing the Large Soul Core Quest in Jiquani's Sanctum. After killing the Boss the Large Soul Core should be obtainable. But it doesn't.

It seems like I am stuck.

I cannot progress anymore. I tried restarting the game and creating new instances.

Same issue. Stuck campaign until fixed.

I’m also stuck. Saw they didn’t address it in the latest patch. Hope they see this soon. Can’t progress the game. D:

FYI there's a workaround. If someone else has the core and places it in the stone altar while you are present, you will be able to proceed.

You can post in general to see if anyone is doing the quest to get it completed, I had this issue and just ran it down in a couple new instances to get the medium cores and then redo the fight and it worked after a couple attempts

I have the same game breaking issue.

It was my own fault though, was just testing if you could drop quest items and pick them back up like you can in PoE 1 and it vaporized, no message asking if I want to discard or anything, just poofed.

Im still experiencing this issue (in cruel). It isn't fixed yet? The item disappeared the first time I killed the Zicoatl, Warden of the Core. When I kill it now, the item doesn't spawn and now I'm unable to get the 10% fire resistance from Blackjaw I guess.
