MERCINARY WONT SHOOT

I’m on ps5, there is a Reddit thread with multiple people having this issue. I literally can’t progress any further because my mercinary won’t shoot anymore, I’ve rebooted the game twice, installed the new update 5 mins ago also. Still nothing. I can see the button being pressed on my screen also. Multiple mercenaries are having this problem on ps5 a lot. Some are having it where the merc shoots only sometimes, but mine has completely stopped.

I have the same problem on pc. I can only use grenade skills and the default attacks or any ammunition skill no longer works. I have all the stats for the skills and the crossbow.
