Large Soul Core Despawned

I encountered an issue in the "Legacy of the Vaal" quest during Act 3 (Cruel). After defeating "Zicoatl, Warden of the Core," I received the "Large Soul Core" item. However, after completing a side quest, the item disappeared from my inventory.

When I attempt to place the Large Soul Core on the stone altar in the Infested Barrens, the animation of my character placing the item plays, but nothing happens. I tried defeating the boss again, hoping the Large Soul Core would drop again, but it does not.

I Got same problem how to fix?

Im still experiencing this issue. It isn't fixed yet? The item disappeared the first time I killed the Zicoatl, Warden of the Core. When I kill it now, the item doesn't spawn and now I'm unable to get the 10% fire resistance from Blackjaw I guess.

Edit: after posting this I see the is in the bug report of PoE1. To be clear, I have this issue in PoE2

Yea i posted this while there was no poe2 forum, but the bug is still in the game the only fix is to do the quest with someone in the party who hasn't done it yet.. or wait for a fix
