Skill "Freezing Salvo" not attacking targeted mobs when moving backwards

Here are the STR

-start Poe 2
-log into game with Ranger i.e using gamepad, should be be same behaviour
with keyboard & mouse but not verified myself.
-once ingame look for any mob group or a single one,get near to them so they are target locked.
-move backwards and shoot "Freezing Salvo" (Rangerskill, but can be actually used by any class)

Result:
The character seems to turn around and the Freezing Salvo attacks land somewhere
wasted on the ground. Unlike any other skill freezing Salvo is only hitting the mobs when standing still while triggering the skill. This results often in a received hit or even the death of the player itself when facing a stronger enemy.

Expected:
As any other skills Freezing Salvo must hit the targeted mob(s) when moving backwards.

Voltaic mark has this same issue on controller.

Even pointing the right thumbstick at the target doesn't stop this problem.
