Ignite mechanics POE 2

Hi! I'm trying to make Ignite work and don'd understand a couple of things:

1) Can I ignite with Cold Damage with Bringer of Flames (Witch Ascendancy)
If I take Gloves that make all my fire damage cold damage can I still Ignite with burning army and spells with Bringer of Flames? Idea is to Ignite and then stop it multiple times to gain energy for meta spells

2) How does burning damage calculate with burning Army?
If I have 30k hp minion, accroding to description bruning should deal 6k dmg per second. Is it true? In game it doesn't feel like burning does that my damage.

UPD: And if I use cold spells with fire spells, will they stop ignite?
