PC shut down a lot

Hi, I bought a new computer exclusively to play POE 2, but I got a AMD instead of NVIDIA.

SPECS:

MB: ASRock A620M-HDV/M.2, Chipset A620, AMD AM5, M-ATX, DDR5, 90-MXBLL0-A0UAYZ
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Assassin X 120 R SE V2, 120mm, Intel-AMD, Preto
MEMORY: DDR5 Kingston FURY Beast, 16GB, 5600MHz, Black, KF556C40BB-16
SSD WD Green SN350, 1TB, M.2 NVMe, Leitura 2400MB/s e Gravação 1850MB/s, WDS100T2G0C
Aerocool KCAS 700W, 80 Plus Bronze, PFC Ativo
CASE: Gamer MSI MAG Forge 111R, Mid Tower, Vidro Temperado, ATX, Black, Sem Fonte, Com 1 Fan
TERMAL: Cooler Master Cryofuse, 2G, MGZ-NDSG-N07M-R2
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 8600G, 4.3GHz (5.0GHz Turbo), 6-Cores 12-Threads, AM5, Com GPU: ASRock AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT Challenger OC, 16GB, GDDR6, FSR, Ray Tracing, RX7600XT CL 16GO

I did some tests with other heavy 3D games (a lot of them running together) and none of them put the CPU/GPU temperature more than 75c and shut down the computer.

But POE2 even with low specs is shutting down the computer suddenly.

I will try more configs and I am installing the game outside steam to do some tests...

If someone has a work out to this, please help me!

This is a known issue.

The game hard crashes, freezing the PC completely and requiring a manual shutdown via power button.

This is day 15.

We have two "main" threads with 250 pages each and more posts and views than the rest of the EA Bug Reports combined.

GGG does not care. They are on holiday (literally).

Furthermore, I ask anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam.
I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1.
What to do:
1)Write a short review about the hard crashes in notepad.
2)Copy and paste it to steam reviews, put up a negative review.
3)Copy and paste it to steam discussions, put it up there.
Sorry, but this isn't the same issue. This isn't the game freezing, and you have to power off the computer. This is the computer shutting completely off on its own. as if you pulled the power plug from the wall.

I've got a Rog Strix Laptop with the Nvidia 4080 RTX. And this game shuts off, not freezes, just powers off the computer. I've seen it most often with my minion witch, running SRS and the Flame wall...Seems most consistently having an issue with a lot of fire on screen. Only other time I've had it shut off is my ranger, with a lightning build. Mind you, I've turned all the settings down graphically and it still happens.

Sometimes I can play my witch for a few hours and it's fine. Other times it crashes pretty soon after starting.

Monk, Warrior, Mercenary, Sorceress all seem fine so far.

They are related. The game's code is doing something "iffy" with System APIs. Similarly, the game's code is having some real trouble with core utilization logic.

If your PC is built perfectly, these result in hard crashes, ie. system freezes. If not then your PC would shutdown due to thermals.

This problem is not the graphics. There are some that are related to graphics but this is not it.

The reason why this happens is that the game is badly optimized and has trouble with core utilization. As a result if there are a lot of things to compute like status effects, buffs, debuffs, minions etc. it results in a massive CPU spike. If your thermal management is not adequate your PC shuts down due to in-built safety features. As this is in spike format and actually secretly combined with a system freeze it would probably not register. Still you can check event manager for thermal warnings, sometimes they do pop-up there.

At that time, it was day 15, and we managed to track it until that point. Afterwards it would require access to GGG's engine's code so we couldn't go any further than that. It is now more than two months. The problem still continues.

Be it the hard crash, shutdowns, spikes, stutters, or general low performance all due to how GGG's code is handling core utilization.

We can never know why exactly as GGG keeps being dodgy and dishonest.

As long as GGG is not interested in open and honest communication our only other option is to increase the pressure and warn others by giving a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam in a detailed and informative manner.

agree with all you said,i wanna add that im having same issues, and as i see the creator of this post,he owns the same gpu like me,and we are not the only ones, owners of rx 6000-7000 and xt's are having this issue, shut downs or freezes.i made my negative review ofc, cause im so tired and betrayed.

btw before 3 hours i downloaded pbo2 tuner and i put all cores -30,i played breaches in savannah-oasis-steppe (my main problematic maps) and i havent had a shutdown yet.
