Can't launch on Linux after patch on Steam - Exception: CreateDXGFactory1: Call failed
|
Game has been running fine since launch.
But today, an hour ago, the game crashed, and Steam immediately auto-updated and installed a new version of the game. I also think there was a Steam update which autoinstalled. Now when I try to launch, I get the error in subject, after about 4-8 seconds. I've tried: - Changing various launch parameters to force directx/vulkan - Changing settings in the production config file to Vulkan/DirectX12 - Switching to other compatibility versions like - Verified game files integrity in Steam - Restarted PC, restarted Steam, reinstalled Steam, updated kernel - Verified other games work, they do, but POE1 gives the exact same error. - Tried different proton versions via steam, Hotfix version has worked since launch but now doesn't, neither does the others on 8.0 branch and 9.0 branch. Specs/info: - Debian 12 (bookworm) - Kernel 6.6.13-1-liquorix-amd64, also tried kernel 6.12.6-1-liquorix-amd64 - X.Org version: 1.21.1.7 - xfce4-session 4.18.1 (Xfce 4.18) - AMD Ryzen 5 7600 on X670 Aorus Elite AX - 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 Dual Channel - GeForce RTX 4090 - driver version 565.77 Último bump em 19 de dez. de 2025 07:47:03

Steam updated the game again and after a lengthy shader recompile the game could launch again.
The shader recompile + 1.5GB+ patch is something that happens severel times daily btw. |

POE2 won't start for me as well after the last update.
