Strange suicide cases

From time to time I die when my energy shield and mana is not empty with Mind Over Matter skill activated. I shouldn't be dead while I have mana, right? Also it is written that I committed suicide.

Do you have anything that makes you lose life on kill? or does your mana flask remove life based on mana gained? If your life reaches 0 you die regardless of es or mana
