Can't damage Zalmarath

Can't damage Zalmarath with my totems at various different times in the fight. Earlier I got it down to half, now it's stuck at almost full hp.

Same issue here.

For most of the time I can't damage Zalmarath with resonating shield, Shield charge or Shield Wall.

Same, but worse. I'll be doing fine, doing damage for a little while and then suddenly he won't take any damage from me at all from any source.

The first time it happened after he knocked me off the platform. I was able to roll back onto it, but I couldn't damage him at all but could still take damage. I reset the fight.

The second time it happened after I Rolling Slammed into him. He was taking damage until it seemed like I landed inside his hitbox maybe? Couldn't do any damage but could still take damage. I reset the fight.

The third time it happened after I changed out my skills to do all long range/totem attacks. I made sure I didn't fall off the world or clip into him. He did that sweeping arm attack thing where he drags his forearm across the platform. I was pushed but did not take damage. From then on I couldn't damage him in any way. I reset the fight.

I'm pretty frustrated at this point because I cannot continue through this quest.
