Controlled Metamorphosis Disabling Small Attribute Passives

The small attribute passives (+5 to Strength/Dexterity/Intelligence) are not working if they are in the ring of Controlled Metamorphosis Diamond.

This is happening for me as well.

For clarity, I lose the 5 strength and 5 intelligence from the highlighted nodes when I socket the Controlled Metamorphosis:

I managed to fix it somehow but I'm not 100% sure how. Basically, it disabled two dex nodes in its radius which made it so I can no longer wear my armor. I pulled the gem out of the socket, refunded them from dex into int, then put them back into dex so I could wear my armor again. Once I did this, when I put the gem back into the socket, It no longer disabled the nodes.

No idea why that worked, but prior to that, when I socketed the gem into that slot it would disable a few of my nodes. Afterwards, it worked fine and now I'm afraid to touch it.

was hoping it would, as it saves me several passive tree points to allocate elsewhere, guess ill just unequip the diamond till its fixed

Can confirm this bug. Took me forever to figure why pob2 and the in-game character sheet were 5 strength points different.
