Unable to Enter Other People's Maps

As of the new update, I am no longer able to enter other's maps. I can enter my own, but not theirs. When someone spawns a map, the portals do not open in the Refuge. If I go to that user's hideout, I see the portals, but they have no labels and are not clickable. I have tested with all three input methods, k&m, wsad, and controller - all same result.

If I am in their hideout when they open a new map, the portals do not change in any way. For example, if when I enter hideout, they are in map with one other person, four portals are still open. I cannot enter. They come out, open new map, the portals do not change. I still see 4 portals.

I've experienced the same. If the person who is the atlas owner comes out, I am able to enter. It does waste 1 portal though. Happens in regular maps as well as breachstone map. It only seems to occur when the instance owner enters first from what I recall.

Now it's so difficult to play public games right now! People come in my hosted game and leave very soon, thinking that the portals are already used up when in fact there are 3 or 4 unused portals remaining! I don't even dare to use my best Waystones on public game as I don't know if there's going to be enough party members that can join in!

Even playing with friends require us to do guesswork/whack a mole to teleport to the right hideout that shows the actual portals!

GGG please try to solve this bug as your number 1 priority now! If not, public games are near impossible to play properly!

Just a temporary workaround I discovered to this issue:

1) Open Public game in Ziggurat encampment(past)

2) Then you have to ask all party members to teleport to your own hideout.

3) Start Waystone Map

4) Let others enter first, Host enters last.


This however doesn't completely resolve the missing portal issue. There is still some issues with late comers not seeing the portals.

Confirmed, others are unable to enter my maps as well. It seems to work sometimes when we are all in same instance when starting and host enters map last. Same behavior dqwong is describing.

I play with friend and since last patch when he portals to hideout, he cannot come back because there are no labels over the portals. It helps when I tp to hideout too, but this way we are wasting additional portal.

- Fixed an issue in couch co-op where one player was able to interact with the Map Device but not open a Map due to them not being the party leader. In couch co-op, Map owners are now made to be the party leader.

I would put money the problem is related to this.
