Stuck in Arena after killing boss, cant finnish map

This has happen multiple times now.
It seems to happen more if i dont kill all monsters in map before taking on the boss.
So i enter the map arena and kill the map boss, he dies and i get loot.
I portal to stash loot.
When back and trying to exit the arena to finish the rest of the map i cant get out, now in rustbowl map.
It has 2 exits from arena area, none of them lets me out to the rest of the map.
I have to start a new map and the rustbowl map isnt getting the "completed" either, it says "map attemted".
It this how it is supposed to be?

I cant think so, right?
