Skeletal sniper minions despawn upon teleport.

Every time I teleport/portal my skeletal sniper minions despawn and I need to change the minion count from 0 back to what I had it at for them to respawn. I found this quite annoy so I did some testing and noticed removing the Chaos Mastery support gem from the sniper minions fixed the issue of them despawning on teleport. This leads me to believe that the problem has something to do with the 1 spirit reservation reduction the skeletal sniper minions receive when going from lvl 35 to 36 and it not being applied on teleport. I feel like I should also mention I didn't have this problem until the most recent patch but it could be a coincidence.
