Character actions disabled after opening strongbox

Since the recent patch I've noticed that most of the time when opening strongboxes with "Freezes when opened", my character's charm to prevent the freeze is activated but is then unable to perform any attacks or spells. I can move, but often rubber band back to where I would have been frozen. Logging out and back in is the only solution it seems.
