What happened to map icons during running a map?

Hey, I remember that when I was running maps I'd sometimes forget what It had so i would open up the map UI and check what was on it.

For some reason that has now disappeared?

Was this an intended change?

Not sure how to properly add an image, so I'm trying both ways
