Game not saving personal settings

As of today 02/16/2025 I have installed and uninstalled the game 4 times. Each time resulting in the exact same issue: The game is not retaining my personal settings.

I am running Win 10 64bit with Ryzen 5600 32 gig XFX RX 7800 XT


All drivers are up to date.

Please Advise.

I'm assuming your production_Config.ini which is normally saved in your Documents folder isn't saving?

Documents > My Games > Path of Exile
Documents > My Games > Path of Exile 2


If it's not there, maybe OneDrive has taken over? (if installed and used)

I dont use One Drive, and it is not installed.

I manually created the Path Of Exile 2 folder, in the My Docs/My Games folder and a blank poe2_production_Config.ini in the hopes that it would find it and over write it. That did not work.

Considering that this is the 4th install in less than 4 days and I get the same result, regardless of having it live on my primary drive or moving manually to another directory / drive to live in, it is not writing a config file.

I have gone through the folder permissions and other games are written there so that checks out, space is not an issue as well.

All I can figure is that there is something I am not seeing.

I have asked a guild mate for a copy of their config file in the hopes that by having it on board it might start writing to it.
