Trials/Ultimatum not awarding 8th Ascendency

Hi guys. Ive recently completed the ultimatum boss with one of my friends. We both needed 4th ascend at the time, though when we defeated the boss, only the instance owner(my friend) was able to claim the 4th ascendancy. I assumed it was ok, we just had to do it again in my instance and it will be fine. Now, all my ultimatum's (75+) are saying it will no longer grant me ascendancy points? Am I screwed out of my 4th ascendancy, or is it just a visual bug in the description and i will actually be able to gain ascendancy.

I have just completed the trial boss for a second time. No ascendancy points. Dosent seem like a visual bug. What am I supposed to do I this situation?
Edit: It was a visual bug. Ascendancy points were never granted our shown in my passive tree until I clicked onto the node for the ascendancy and it awarded me the two points.
