Amazon critical strike

I decided to calculate how the critical multiplier is added to the Amazon when using the "critical strike" skill.
I did not have multipliers for critical strike in the build, only half of the calculations took a flat 1% of "struck through". The skill "rake" was used with damage of 389-890 and a chance to hit of 128%
1) 5% of the base chance the skill "critical strike" is not used
639.5*(3.02*x+y)=704.09 expected damage
x = 5%
y = 95%
data matches in-game information
2) 5% of the base chance the skill "critical strike" is used
639.5*(3.02*x+y)=901.23 expected damage
x = 20.3%
y = 79.7%
data does NOT match in-game information, which states that there is a 5% critical chance and +28% of the chance to deal damage, which is INCORRECT
3) 5% of the base chance the skill "critical strike" is not used
"struck through" used
639.5*(3.02*x+y)=717.01 expected damage
x = 6%
y = 94%
data matches in-game information
4) 5% base chance skill "critical strike" is used
"struck through" is used
639.5*(3.02*x+y)=917.7 expected damage
x = 21.5%
y = 78.5%
data does NOT match in-game information, which states that there is a 6% critical chance and +28% of the chance to deal damage

I don't know where such a high crit chance came from and either the game incorrectly calculates the expected damage, or there is an error in the damage forum, but in both cases the description does not reflect reality at all

i do not have any critical strike chance in my passive tree other than Amazon's "Critical Strike" ascendancy node.



this is bugged. either skill tab shows wrong number, or calculation has no *.25 multiplier built in.
i'm not even going to test this cuz no target dummies and dps-meter in the game.


pls hotfix this asap so ppl stop complain about LS amazon being busted

It's possible it's coded as chance and not excess chance?

So over 4 months later this is still bugged, and there's no mention of a fix in 0.3.0 either despite this node being actively worked on and changed in the upcoming patch.

The Amazon's Critical Strike node calculates bonus Crit Chance from excess Chance To Hit at a 100% value instead of the 25% it should be (soon to be 15% since this will be nerfed in 0.3.0).

So, the value shown on the character sheet must be multiplied by x0.25 to get the correct value (soon to be x0.15).

So there's a very simple mathematical error that GGG really should fix since it's probably down to just a single numerical error in the code. I don't understand why this hasn't been fixed yet since it's been causing so much confusion and I've seen many, many posts and even videos about this node. We really shouldn't have to bring up a calculator when the stat sheet could easily tell us the correct value instead.

Accounting for the target's Evasion, this node usually gives even less Crit Chance than the listed value in reality (after manually calculating it due to the bug), however, you can't account for an enemy's Evasion on the stat sheet so that is irrelevant to the bug and this topic, but figured I'd just throw it out there.
