Softlocked in trial of chaos

playing as a huntress and upon the third trial, an escort mission, i apparently used thunderous leap to pass the trialmaster without triggering him. i went down the platform did the objective, there were no enemies and the game has not registered that the objective completed so i have no lifts out of the area and no way of killing myself. please advise how do i get out.
