PS5 stuck on Gears loading screen

I convinced my sister to pick up PoE2 on PS5.
She has installed it and booted the game. It plays the intro cutscene and then hits the loading screen with two gears turning (Or Grinding, if you will). It stalls there and does not move past it.
We've waited 15+ minutes multiple times.
We've closed the game from the PS5 home screen and re-opened it, same issue.

Is this a known issue/is there a workaround?

i have the same issue on xbox one series x .. it just started happening today so something with new patch. tried everything to fix and so far nothing works.

It was pretty bad to me yesterday on the 14th. I couldn't even get into the game for almost 2 hours and a 1/2. I'm sorry the 13th, me and my friend have to cancel because we just couldn't get in. He could but I couldn't

I’m having the same issue. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the game(which PlayStation charged me for again) I’ve restarted, cleared the cache in safe mode, restored licenses and synced game data. And I can’t even start a new character. And that was over 12 hours ago. So needless to say I’m a bit pissed off!

Same here with me, happened about 21hrs ago.

I have reinstalled the game (to the guy before me, do that from your library not the PSN store).

I have cleared the cache, and rebuilt the DB

I have tried uninstalling, clearing the cache, rebuilding the DB and reinstalling in that order.

I have restored the license, synced the save data

I have left the game on the load screen for hours.

I have tried to log in probably at least a couple dozen times.

I cannot make a new character, any new character gets stuck on the first loading screen.

I logged into my account on a friends PS5 at a different location and was able to get the game to load and play just fine. I even moved myself to another location but when I tried again on my PS5 I still have the perpetual loading screen of death.

Sadly, the problem seems to lie with my PS5 but I am not going to wipe the whole damn thing in the hopes of fixing some buggy game.

Confirming I've done the same fixes as others on this thread and still stuck on loading screen with every character, including any brand new ones.

This started happening 24 hours ago on PS5.

UPDATE:

Just tried again and I logged in successfully and am playing now. Lasted for approximately 24hrs.

Thanks to tech support if you were involved in resolving my issue.

I seriously doubt it's a fix but the only thing I tried last was to put the PS5 into rest mode while I was stuck on the infinite loading screen and to log back in form there (without restarting the game, had the 'logged out because game was suspended' message).

Since the last patch, it has gotten much worse for myself. Now I cannot log in and play with any other players Nor can I go to the trials of the sekhemas or any other events such as that where I have to switch screens. I just tried the trials of the sigma again and I beat the thing only to have the loading screen bug happen at the ascension altar before i recieved my 2 points. When I logged back in, I was at the beginning of the trials again and I lost all progress and the relics that I'd put into the first altar. Someone offered to get me Through all of the trials for free.but when I tried to join him, And he Teleported to the final area where the Ascension altar is.I could not follow him because I got the Loading screen bug again.And it bugged me out. And when I logged back in I was At the beginning again. Sorry for all of the mistypes I am using ps5's speech to Text. And it is srcewing up like crazy. at this point, I've been reporting this problem since The first week that LotD came out. I was really looking forward to playing the game. I play it all the time but at this point it is completely worthless to play.I give up.I'll try it again when the next season comes out.
