Juiced citadel bugged out

Hi. I've been very lucky, few bugs to report. However, I just cleared to a tower and juiced it with + waystone drop chance precursor tablets. I opened a copper citadel with a + 285% waystone drop chance waystone. One revive. I stepped away to feed my cats, refil my drink, and take a bio break. I never left my hideout. When I returned, the portal was gone and it said I failed the map, locking me out of any opportunity to run the citadel I spent a significant amount of time preparing.

I dont want this happening to me, and especially anyone else. Please advise.
