minion damage active vs passive?

How much of a witches minions damage is from the passive minion being just being out and how much is from actually using the active skills keybind?

It really depends on the minions and how you want to make your build.

Frost mages for me was about 90% of the damage coming from using there active skill.

Storm mages which I am currently running are providing 100% passive damage.
I just occasionally curse something but mostly just run in circles trying not to get hit.
