Galvanic Shards Mana Cost

Galvanic Shards is seeing huge changes in 0.30 and I'm excited to try it out... except for the insane mana cost. Because crossbow skills only cost mana on the reload changing the bolts loaded for a skill DRASTICALLY change the mana cost. Previously on the low end Galvanic Shards has costed 13 mana for 5 bolts (roughly 2.6 mana per bolt) and with the changes Galvanic Shards will now cost 10 mana per 1 bolt - roughly a 4x mana cost increase per bolt. Was it intended to make Galvanic Shards one of the most mana hungry abilities in the game?

My calculations shows that Gemini Crossbow might be best option now:
- slightly higher DPS with 1 bean
- 50% more DPS with all the beans (10, previously 6)
- mana cost per second "only" 2 times higher than previously (for other xbox the cost is 3 times higher

I need to check how Double Barrel II changes that

Exactly, this is what most arent considering.
Gemini xbow can offer 2 free bolts and another one with double barrel (10% less reload speed on tier 3).

We have 4 bolts and we reload 40% faster than before, even faster than before with nimble reload, damage is almost doubled on the high end.
I might be off but i cant see that big nerf everyone is pointing out.

Gemini Crossbow really going from my least favorite... to the best crossbow? Kinda interesting. Hopefully they didn't nerf Gemini Crossbow because these changes make it very powerful

Base+Double Barrel = 2

Gemini/Twin Xbow = 2 or 3 max( 1 from base and +2 from mods? cant remember)

That lineage = +3
