Hi, an upload of your most recent client.txt file would be ideal as a primary step in troubleshooting this problem.

This file contains some information about your game/PC configuration which may help put us in the right direction why you're having issues.

You can locate this file inside a folder named "Logs" which is located inside your main pathofexile.exe installation folder.

You can host this information inside this client.txt file (recent one) to another site like pastebin.com. You do not need to create an account to use this site.

If the most recent client.txt file is too large you can split the main upload into 2 separate files to pastebin.com and link each page URL back here if necessary.

This may be a silly question, but when you installed your new processor did you also format Windows? Sometimes you can cause weird issues if you don't run a fresh install of your OS after changing hardware.

If you have a spare SSD, or don't have important files you need to save on your current drive, I'd say go ahead and try reformatting. There's a chance it could just fix your problem.

And yeah, lots of people are reporting having problems with exclusively PoE 2. Of course referring to the system freezing issue. I for one only have issues in PoE 2. No other game or beta hard locks my PC. Pretty sure it's due to the way the PoE engine handles multithreading and nothing I could do would outright fix it.

Maybe you could try to launch the game on a single core of your processor (Google it) and see if the computer turns off. I think it's more or less a driver issue and would run fine on your PC if you just freshly install Windows and all your drivers (including chipset drivers). Make sure you're running the latest BIOS and then if the game still doesn't work there's not much you could do other than wait for GGG to actually start debugging their game.
