King of the Mists is Stuck and I cannot leave

In the King of the mists fight, I cleared phase 1 while the boss was on the raised platform with the idol. I got sent to the maze and upon re-entering the arena, the boss got stuck in the phase transition atop the platform. He is stuck, I am stuck, I cannot leave or portal out. Closing to desktop and reopening spawns me back in my newfound prison.
