Omen of homogenising exalt

Had a rare crossbow with:

- %increased physical dmg T2
- Add # to # physical damage T3

Then i used that omen with a perfect exalt and it added the T1 suffix "Gain 5 life per enemy hit"

I'm lost because it says:
"While this item is active in your inventory your next Exalted Orb will add a Modifier of the same type as an existing Modifier on the Item"

Whats going on?

Gain # life per enemies hit has the same mod tag as those physical mods. It worked correctly. Gain # life has a tag for Attack and Life

Aight got it, i thought the same as an existing one would add another tier of the same mod and add em up. 3 divs in the trash lol

It happens, I wasted a whittle last night because I forgot mod tiers don't matter it's mod level, removed a t1 desecration while aiming for a T2 faster Es recharge. The recharge was 1 ilvl higher than the desecration.

It would be great if it shows what modifiers in the items will be part of the pool without checking a wiki and what possible mods maybe added. Again just giving you more info ahead of time. It doesn't change the RnG but at least you are emotionally prepared if it's goes the wrong way.
