Darkness Enthroned Fine Belt

The Darkness Enthroned Fine Belt does not work with Ox Talisman.

"This item gains bonuses from socketed items as though it was a shield".

It lets me put Ox Talisman in the sockets and shows the upgrade on the belt itself but when equipping the belt the character tab shows no change on my block chance. I start with 31% block chance and it doesn't change after equipping the belt.

I second this problem. It shows i have 42% block chance from the two ox talismans on the Darkness Enthroned Fine belt. However, my character sheet does not change to reflect that.
Would be nice to hear from GGG devs is this a bug or some hidden feature we must figure out :)
Thank You in advance.

Ox Talisman is local block chance mod, not global.

It modifies the block chance of an item.

Local mods are more valuable than global mods.
Because it modifies the value of an item, before the global mods hit.

Essentially they are the same as saying "MORE BLOCK CHANCE" instead of "INCREASED BLOCK CHANCE".

So usually this is very good thing.
(Those were selling for 5 divines at the start btw, but you need to be really fast to farm them)

--------

The problem is that this belt has 0% block chance.

So you cannot modify its block value with local multiplication.

Because 0 multiplied by whatever returns 0.

Nothing hidden here.
And I really do not know what is confusing you guys.

If you have body armor belt with sockets, will you shove "increased armor/evasion/energy" and expect this to affect you globally?

Of course not.

But somehow people are used to expect those runes to have local effect, because they use them all the time.
