Do Strongbox suffixes give you more loot?

The suffixes on Strongboxes - such as exploding craigs - can typically make the encounter harder. But, do they - not counting the ones that create more packs of monsters - give you any benefit? Like, do they add a hidden rarity modifier or anything like that? If not, then are we better off not rolling suffixes, if possible? Thanks!

no, and things like freeze/chaos orbs/more mobs are the prefixes where as rarity/quant are the suffixes so it doesn't make sense to keep using ex if you've already got 3 of the good mods besides more mobs maybe
