Accidentally dropping a item and it disappears.

I was in a T3 map using my main bow, and I jump down into a abyssal depth teleported into it and when I went into my inventory, I accidentally dropped my main bow and it disappeared. Nowhere to be picked up nowhere in my inventory and now it is gone. I need some help, please.
