Daevata's wind Unique war spear bugged

Daevata's wind Unique war spear doesn't increase melee skills dmg after using spear throw (ranged attack). According to my skills stats, there is no dmg increase after using ranged attack. I use the spear in weapon slot 2 and and then switch back to slot 1 for melee.
