Why must it be so difficult to get power charges.

Everything useful was put on like a 6 second cooldown making builds like falling thunder really annoying to play.

Sniper's mark is really the only way to reliably get charges on bosses and it's ridiculous to have to wait so long.

Please play this game before making changes.

Siphoning Strike + Gathering Storm
Between lingering illusion, killing palm, and siphoning strike, my monk swims in ALL the charges, but especially power charges.

I guess for bosses it's just lingering + siphoning strike but honestly siphoning strike does the most work and it doesn't feel cumbersome.

I also know there's quite a number of other creative ways you can generate charges.

I think you're just not being creative enough.

I use Killing Palm to collect a couple at a time, and then when use Charged Staff, I can get up to 7 charges. I know you are specifically talking about for bossing, where Killing Palm only works if the boss spawns other monsters...

I found that the duration of the Power Charges wasn't long enough for me, so I decided to get all the nodes that contain Power Charges on the Passive Tree (as most of them boosted Duration). Now, my Power Charges last for 36 seconds and my Charged Staff is approx 1 minute 6 seconds. Just search "Power Charge" in the passive tree.

There is something else that I got that also gives me all 3 charges (Power, Endurance and Frenzy), but I forget what it is...

There is also a keystone (Resonance) on the passive tree that changes Charges into other Charges:

Resonance
Gain Power Charges instead of Frenzy Charges
Gain Frenzy Charges instead of Endurance Charges
Gain Endurance Charges instead of Power Charges

Like others have said, there are other ways to generate charges, some of which they mention.

Hope all goes well for you :)
Let's work together to make this world a better place :)
Yea none of this works for me. Siphoning strike requires the target to already be shocked which is useless inless you're using a lighitnng attack.

I was using ice strike to proc Resonance along with hand of chalyula and snipers mark. This plus serpent's egg and the extra charge support used to have me at max charges all the time. Then comes GGG stupid dev team to the rescue:

Snipers mark was nerfed to a 4 second cooldown, Resonance was nerfed to a fucking 6 second cooldown. You can't use overabundance any more to get an extra limit to sniper's mark so it's shitty now as well.

So between HoC to apply sniper's mark and Resonance naturally giving me max charges every 6 seconds, it's still not enough.

The nerf to resonance was fucking stupid. Then Sniper's mark on top of it.

Heaven forbid you use HoC and then actually have to attack. This blows both CDs.

It was fine the way it was before. Siphoning strike is ass if your main attack isn't lightning and it's ass anyway because you'd have to shock them first which would kill the target half the time.

"Swimming in charges" is not an option without a complete rework of my build now.

I don't have problems doing maps and I can build charges on bosses just find with Hand. At 6 charges my Falling Thunder hits for around 5-6mil if positioning is good for shotgunning. It doesn't change the fact that my char is randomly having to wait to use his main attack when it's in NO WAY overpowered.

I guess now I'm supposed to work legacy temporalis into my build so I can have charges again. So there IS still a way to do it, it's just annoying af and I'm not going to constantly jump through hoops when they'll probably just change that too.

Annnd you know why they changed snipers mark and resonance? BECAUSE OF DEADEYE WHICH IS STILL THE MOST OP CLASS IN THE GAME BEHIND CRIT BLOOD MAGE.

So all of these "balance" changes to fix a problem that is still the #1 problem only now my build is annoying to play.

So fucking tired of this company and this game.
