Ranting: This game is getting more and more frustrating

Just had the most frustrating (swear/rage quit worthy) experience in this game:

Doing my second 10 Chaos Trials run for the another FATE key; just killed the final tornado bird boss (Deadly Trial), moved to the edge of the arena and for no reason I went from full health to dead, even healing potions did not stop the life drain. I had no debuffs, ruin, turrets nor any AOE effect in this trial, 75% less defence, reduced recovery yes but nothing that'll drain the life that quick.

Natually I swore a few times loudly and rage quit.

Never liked those "trials" in POE 1 and certainly don't like them in 2. If the third trial option is the Kauri ancestory one then I will be even more disappointed.
