Gem damage change only applies when you change instance not when i switch items.

I need to constantly click on gem in gem menu to reapply damage on skill when i change jewels. Only when it applies automatically is when i switch instance. Its so annoying to constantly need to reapply gems in gem menu to activate stats change.
