Skittermind boss despawn and loot

So Ive been stupidly trying to farm/drop a death articulated from the only boss it apparently drops from. After countless corrupted nexus Finally get the boss to spawn on the digsite map.
I deliberately left 1 portal/respawn. Kill the boss, Skittermind spawns in and I instantly get one shot by some kind of ground explosion. [Never seen this before]
respawn in, boss is gone, as is the loot from the level boss.
So much for leaving a portal for a revive.
I honestly don't understand how anyone has got these gloves period.
Also Every death I have had has been from being one shot by explosions but not actually seeing any attack.

The digsite boss is bugged. Happen often that people get killed after he died.
I hope they'll fix it soon.
Not sure if that's what happend to you but be carefull on that map.
