First, do not play a pure evasion character!



I've reached level 90 on my Amazon with max resistances, max block, near 50% deflection, 50% physical damage reduction from armour, 50% evasion, T1 life on 5 pieces of gear and my life total is a bit below 2.4k. It is said I need 4.5k + effective health pool to face most bosses.
The Amazon can only easily reach evasion passive nodes, so investing in armour or Energy Shield is not very efficient. Armour is seemingly useless against big hits too, since it has diminishing returns the stronger the hit.

I can see armour and energy shield being able to counter large hits, but evasion, no matter how high, will always be a gamble and fail at some point.

With no passive nodes that allow optimizating defensive layers that don't rely on luck, like evasion, deflection and block do, starting in that pure evasion area of the passive constellation seems like a weak option.

Ofc it is possible to make strong evasion characters, compensating for this, but is it worthwhile?
