You do not have the required quest state

two player play together on ps5. interlude 1 and 3 finished together

one player went on ahead to the next act
using character A, went on to act 2 alone

when logging in together again, character B automaticaaly got tagged along to act 2.
Because of this, charcter B cannot seem to go forward or travel through waypoints with a message
"you do not have the required state" in act two
Character B Can only go back and play in previously finished acts
How can this be solved? I want to continue to play with character B, together with charact A
