Vaal Boss under ground

This boss is shy and doesn't want to come up anymore. Help? I pounce on him, and that's pretty much what happens.

But boss joined other room where I was fighting boss already preventing me from continuing temple... AGAIN this is like 5th time this boss just goes underground and never comes back but I cant leave room, i can do nothing...
It is becoming increasingly frustrating
