Pounce Wolves supports

I have noticed that wolves spawned from Pounce/Predator's Mark are not affected by any attack supports on that Pounce. So, I cannot make them stronger with supports? Is that intended?

The pounce skill is also tagged as a minion skill but you can't slot minion support gems in it. Hulking minions would be a good one to slot in there since it has no upkeep. Sadness.
